Dumb question: How do I tell/know how many hours are on my engine?

Hey all…hope your Holidays were/are pleasant, happy and healthy! Just curious as you see boats for sale where the seller indicates the hours on the engine… I have an 08 Evinrude ETEC 150 HO that I am curious where I would find the number of hours I have put on it in the first year…I currently have no idea where to find this info out? Thanks in advance…!

Have your service tech. hook it up and read the hours. D.

That would be a dealer tech issue. They should be able to use a PC and get that data for you. Some have hour meters, such as the Merc Smart Craft gauges. Others have the information charted for their knowledge. BCB
