Dust cover and trailering?

Can you trailer with the dust cover on? My Auroa cover fits loose with the motor on the transon saver so I use it only for storage and dont trailer with it on so I am looking for other options to help keep the road grime down.

The dust cover is not for towing, if I remember right. Someone will know for sure and answer soon. pant 2 Bob pm has been sent Now I know you can tow with it, but shortens its life span. Thanks BCBLast edited by pant 2 on December 30th, 2009, 4:53 pm, edited 1 time in total.

We tow with them frequently, and they work out fine, though life it shorter on the cover. The Aurora should tighten up if you adjust the straps properly, The last strap is the one that goes around the engine cavitation plate, and trimming the engine down should tighten the cover to the tent style design. I store my 95 PII on a covered hoist at LOZ. I have thought of using the dust cover. Do they make one for a 95 PII?

19 dust cover would work, and ive towed several new boats with the dust cover on them. Wont hurt a thing, but the Aurora or Deans is much better protection against the elements.

I tournament fish a Coosa River Trail. So the dust cover would be good to use for overnighters at hotels? If so Ill be ordering one for my PIV.

Bass Cat ships all their boats using a dust cover. It has to be tied down tight and right but it works great. The reason theyre not called a towing cover is due to the life of the cover is shortened quite a bit. Your Aurora cover will work fine as long as it too is tied down right and tied down tight. If youre worried about chaffing the top cap, lay down some saran wrap on the cap and it will prevent this. Though the cover has to be tied down tight.

So is the dust cover on BassCats online store the same cover (white) that comes with ordered boats? If so I already have one. The dust cover pic looks gray and different on the BassCat website store.Last edited by Flyswatter on December 31st, 2009, 4:16 am, edited 3 times in total.

We have both and we have no preference. We just buy them as we can get supply from either of two suppliers. They are shipping covers only.
