Nope I have one and it is great if your boat is indoors but not for weather protection. Fairly thick and bulky. Go to walmart buy one of thier cheap boat covers, work great for the driveway but dont tow with them about $40.00
No, it doesnt. I just keep mine in the garage and put some BassBoatSaver on her when she comes off the lake and she is ready for the next trip. Judd Lasiter
Welcome to the Family and congratulations on your new to you P2. Im sure someone will be along shortly to give you some good information about this cover. Unfortunately, I cant.Everyone should believe in something. I believe Ill just go fishing!
towed my brother inlaws puma from Stockton ca to seattle wa with the dust cover over 2 passes and a ton of rain at 70mph got home and removed cover when it stopped raining no issues found the covers are stronger then they look but that was my trip and on an 07 puma dont know if the covers have changed since then
Congrats on the PII! I pulled a boat once with just the shipping cover serveral years ago and wish I wouldnt have. Road grime got under the edges of the cover and scratches my boat while the cover was flopping in the wind. I couldnt get it tight enough and the boat still got wet. If I were you, I would just make sure the plug is out and take it home uncovered and clean it up on a nice day. Good luck and welcome!
Thanks folks. Mainliner61, that roadgrime under the edges and the scratching was something I hadnt thought about. Thanks!
If you use all the straps to tie it down you wont have any problems with water or road grit. I have used one in the pouring rain with no issues. You have to remember this is the same cover BCB uses to ship the boats all over the country.
And they are reusable ! They keep a pretty good eye on those now !
The only cover I have is a BCB dust cover. Bought it from Sherm. Ive never towed with it though. I never tow with a cover, just clean out the boat when I get back home, if it rains, etc.

I would follow this advice from Mainliner. I picked up my brand new boat in the spring of 2013 and towed it about eight hours back home through rain the entire way with no cover. I just gave it a good cleaning when I got home. Congrats on the new P2.
A dust cover can be used they really arent dust covers but shipping covers one could expect to get a handful of tows as a shipping cover as they are not durable enough for long term towing. If youre worried about chaffing, use saran wrap on the top cap. Otherwise use every strap and make sure its tight. If it does scratch, it will be light and can be buffed out fairly easy. Your call! By the way, there is only one cover to have for towing without worries. Thats an aurora sunbrella. Otherwise use saran wrap under cover.
Will the BCB dust cover work with a BCB boarding ladder on a Puma? Thanks, LOZman
The delivery dust divers will fit that application fine.
I use a dust cover for my 2012 Cougar. Most times it is in a carport but I still keep it on to protect from wind driven stuff, dew and prying eyes. It works fine for that but you cannot travel with it on and once you are there you can put it on if it does rain it will collect water because it is not as tight as a customer made travel cover. You can help by putting some supports under the low spots. This is fine for me as previously stated it is under a three sided (only front is open) carport 90+% of the time.
Thanks. Mine stays in the garage when Im at home. Just needing a decent fitting cover when Im on a trip. Looks like the dust cover will work for me. I just wasnt sure if it would fit mine being its an older model.
