Counting on our politicians is as usual, pointless. Maybe the oil companies will save us (as strange as that sounds). As I the read back ground on E-15, the law makes producing E-15 an option, not a requirement. Pumps will have to be clearly labeled if stations sell E-15 so customers know what they are buying. Now, will that protect us from errors if the wrong fuel gets into the wrongs tanks? No and that is a big risk. Hopefully the oil companies will just not produce it and/or fuel retailers just wont buy it. For retailers it means installing new pumps/tanks which is extremely expensive if they want to also sell E-10 so I dont see them jumping on selling this crap. If the current administration remains in office, we do face the strong possibility that it will go from an option to a requirement which I suspect will be the next step if the ruling stands.
