Even the most conservation minded Sierra Club and Green Peace types are not fond of Etahnol use. Makes no sense to us on why with both major parties enthusiasts against Ethanol use why we still have it in gasoline. Corn farmers are definitely happier though and even some Arkansas bean and rice farmers switched to some corn crops.

Judge said Nmma didnt file correctly. Correctly handled case has merit and judge stated as such. Just need a president who isnt using the EPA to force his will without legislation. Both candidates running scared now. After election we know whos more likely to give us more of the same.C.O.D. Jr. III

Ethanol is simply a political football that states like Minnesota have figured out how to make the federal subsidies work. Take a look at the work investment to output potential for ethanol – the amount of work that goes into the value of fuel produced. Its absolutely horrible. There are lots of better/efficient fuels. At the end of the day the Farm lobby is the largest lobby and will protect this money maker at all costs. My 2 cents. John

I have ZERO places to buy gas that doesnt contain ethanol. What will I do if it goes to E15? Fish from a rowboat I guess.

Counting on our politicians is as usual, pointless. Maybe the oil companies will save us (as strange as that sounds). As I the read back ground on E-15, the law makes producing E-15 an option, not a requirement. Pumps will have to be clearly labeled if stations sell E-15 so customers know what they are buying. Now, will that protect us from errors if the wrong fuel gets into the wrongs tanks? No and that is a big risk. Hopefully the oil companies will just not produce it and/or fuel retailers just wont buy it. For retailers it means installing new pumps/tanks which is extremely expensive if they want to also sell E-10 so I dont see them jumping on selling this crap. If the current administration remains in office, we do face the strong possibility that it will go from an option to a requirement which I suspect will be the next step if the ruling stands.

If E-15 comes along you can also throw away your lawnmower, gas trimmer, chain saws, and generators.

I have a source or two for “real” gas but I think they may not be around much longer. It make no sense to use the largest food crop to make stuff we do not need and want. If “they” want to do bio something I suggest they make boidiesel. That will actually work and can be made from a lot of stuff we do not need. E anything is a failed experiment that needs to be dumped.
