I ordered my boat with the E Ladder option, and it was delivered minus that option. When I asked why I was initially told because I have a hydraulic jack plate, and the E ladder cannot be installed on this type of a plate. I have since learned that is not factual. So when I asked the dealer again I am now being told that the E ladder cannot be installed on any BassCat because it is not NMMA certified?
It is listed as on option. I was never told at any point that it was not available. The LAST thing I wanted was the ladder that was installed which is why I opted for the E ladder. If I would have been notified that the E ladder could not be installed by the factory I would have just opted out of what has been installed and installed the E ladder myself. Now if I want to do that I have a bunch of unwanted holes in the boat which is one of the reasons that I wanted the E ladder in the first place.
BassCat sells the E ladder to be purchased stand alone. So if it is not NMMA certified (not safety rated?) then why is it available otherwise? I am disappointed that no one informed me before hand as I should be able to have options to decide what is installed.
