Picked up a used e-ladder and have a question about mounting it to the jackplate. Ive got a 2002 Jaguar with a hydraulic Slidemaster. Should the ladder be mounted using a bracket like I see in the pic from BCB parts page, or can the plate be drilled and tapped to mount it? Thats the way it was mounted on the other guys boat ( a 2008 brand-x with a manual Slidemaster). Not sure which way is best…….Thanks. Curt
Curt, BCB That is my old E Ladder….It came off a 2008 Cougar….I sent the ladder, the bolts that held it on and the block it had between the jack plate and the ladder…Only difference is mine is the manual jack plate not hydraulic…. I will email pics tomorrow Curt if still needed.??????
I changed to the full stainless ladder and the kids really wanted to say thanks…….They feel better getting in the boat from the water with the new one….
Mark, send a pic if you can. Since mine is an older plate, there are no mounting holes in it. BCB, If I decide not to go the drill and tap route, can I get a bracket to fit my plate through the parts dept.? Curt
