Tom I used the Cooks system in my 06 CougarFTD. I epoxied it onto the foam on the lids, I used it for jigs and bags of plastic. The glue was holding when I traded it in after two years. Ive not put anything on my new Cougar yet. I cant decide if I want anything like that again.
If you use a lot of very salty impregnated soft baits the easy view will rust…..trust me
Had the cooks in my rig for 6 years now with no complaints. I glued mine to the lid with some craft glue the wife had laying around and so far it has not failed or showed any signs of impending failureTreat everyday like it might be the last
Tom, I have the Cooks in my PIV and love it, I think there are pics of it on here somewhere, let me see if I can find them for you, if not Ill try and get you some to give you an idea08 Bass Cat Pantera IV 08 Mercury 200HP OPTI 08 NISSAN TITAN CC 4×4 07 POLARIS OUTLAW 500
Not a easy view system but the Cooks Tackle system works great in the cats.
We dont know where you hacked that image from, though they are WAY too organized to fish with us. Very, Very nice set up!BCB
That is Sneezys aka Eric Coopers boat and yes he has a great setup there. I am working towards that on my PII but I am afraid I will lose too many MPH with all the tackle in there. lol
So how do you attach the brackets without having to drill through the lid? I would like to put them in the boat, but would like to avoid drilling through the lids.MikeMike Caponigro Cary, IL 2010 Jaguar/ Merc 250 Pro XS http://www.xtremek9.com
And I thought I carried too much tackle!!Just zackly how many spinnerbaits can a brother need on one fishing trip?Bet with all that lead strung out down each side, chine walk is a “NON-PROBLEM”!Mike Whitten
what do you do when you go to some place like (fork?) and you have to unload all your equipment out of your boat at night when you go to sleep??sure looks nice though…Last edited by brewcat on March 18th, 2010, 1:59 pm, edited 1 time in total.
Thanks guys…..Wow! That is way too organized! I am wanting to get more organized, but if I get it to that degree of organization, I would be afraid to go fishing. I do need know how to attach to the lids. I am wonding if the materiel that is used by most of these system may not stick very well to the lids. Also, how do these systems handle rough water??
It looks like they are screwed in. Ive had boats where there is a support runnung down the center of the locker where you could drill a screw in without drilling through the lid. I was wondering the same thing about the bracket. Will the sticky tape hold?Mike Caponigro Cary, IL 2010 Jaguar/ Merc 250 Pro XS http://www.xtremek9.com
I had the Easy View system in a previous boat that I had, a T boat. It was okay, but I found it hard to remove bags of plastics, etc from the clips. The clips are like the old potato chip racks that you used to see in stores all the time. I put the Cooks system in my 06 CougarFTD. I liked it much better, plus I was able to just glue it to the lids, rather than have to use screws. I dont have either in my new CougarFTD and likely wont put them in it. I found I just never used the racks all that much anyway.
i have the easy veiw and probably wouldnt buy it again, had cooks goto on last rig and liked it better for versitility and durability. really all depends on what you want to get out of your system.for bags of soft plastics the easy veiw works well where cooks allows more bags hung in less space and you can also hang hard baits off your cooksTreat everyday like it might be the last
The only reason BCB does not endorse the Easy View is they are not stainless and are prone to rusting in time.
