No it wont cause any problems, but you will know what the rattle is. The issue is obviously the voltage supply. You should also check incoming voltage. BCB

Ok, so how would a semi-handi guy like myself go about checking the incoming voltage? What is the most likely cause of a voltage problem?

You can get a $20 multiple meter at Sears, Radio Shack or Home Depot.

You should have juice coming from your master switch to the panel. Get your multi meter and check the wires going into your panel. When you find it then push the bilge button and see if you have a voltage drop.

Yes and it may be a fuse on the engine.

The power to the starter itself will only be present when turning the key to the start position . — It has to come through the solenoid . — Check main fuse as stated above . — Mark

On my 2016 Caracal my Noco Charger suddenly quit charging on bank one, which I believe is the cranking battery. Also, my Atlas hydraulic Jackplate just out of nowhere decides to go up, then all the way down, and then the motor continues to run until I either push up in the blinker trim, or pull the 40 Amp fuse from the cranking motor. Anyone have any ideas whats up?

If your dealership doesnt have a handle on this, then give Richard a call in Service and he will be glad to assist.
