Hey Fellow Bass Cat Owner I have a 787c2 Humming bird had problems with the original one that came with my o6 cougar sent back to factory it was the card reader so they ship me a brand new 787c2 the card reader works great now but it is not reading the depth correctly flashing from 4 to 5 ft all the time didnt now if there was a setting that i missed or could be my transducer wandering if anybody else has had the same problems with this. Got a Tournament coming up in the BFL realy need it to work. Thanks Sawdust

Had the same problem with my lowrance, but flashing at 60. Turn your unit on and listen for the clicking sound from the transducer. If it isnt clicking then thats probably your problem. You may check and see if there is any resets for the unit also. Go to hummingbird web page to find this. Wish you good luck on the tournement.

Sounds like it could be a transducer. As said above, turn the unit on and listen for the transducer to make a clicking sound. In addition, check the transducer connection at the back of the unit. Dont know if youre unit is equipped as such, but go through the menu pages and theres a “status” page in there that will let you know whats connected or disconnected. Good luck!

If you have an interlink box, it could be a connection there. It could be a plug on the unit in the snap in. We have had much better success with the units than you are experiencing. Contact HB on their 800 line for a fast turnaround or more help.

Thanks Fellow Basscat Owners for youre suggestions and thanks to BCB I called Hmminbird and will be shipping my 787c2 out today to them and thanks too Scott in Parts for taking care of my minor problem with my Cougar this is the best company that is customer service minded. Thanks BCB for All that you do for youre Family Sawdust
