Hi, my name is Dana and Im looking to upgrade my electronics on the front deck of my boat. I currently run a PIV and fish Lake Champlain for smallies. Im looking for a graph that will help me locate smallies on the bottom in deeper water. Im looking at the HDS 7 and the Elite 5 that just came out. Anybody have these units and have an opinion on them? Thanks

I have the HDS 8 and love it. The down scan feature resembles an underwater video to me.

Ive got the HDS 7 on the bow of my Jag and just getting ready to move it over to my PIV, I like it a lot and fished most of last season with it. Youll like the bigger screen of the 7 over the 5. Mike
