Topic: Eyra alarm horn quit working

The alarm horn (buzzer) has quit on my Eyra. Not the horn / security alarm, but the “buzzer” that beeps when you turn on the key, and what I presume sounds off when you occur any issues like low oil, etc.If this something I can order from BassCat and replace myself?

Is your kill switch “tripped”? The alarm wont sound when you turn the key “ON” if it is. Of course the engine wont start, either…

Hey Gary. No, I think it actually died on me. A couple trips out it seemed to be going. Id turn on they key and it would try to beep, but it was a “staticy” and short. Finally it just quit all together.

My alarm died and my smartcraft gauges displayed “Fault Horn Alarm”. I had to replace it. Call your local boat shop and see if they have one in stock, its located under the dash. Pretty simple to replace.

It is probably the connections to the horn in the Mercury harness.

Thats a mercury part and if your mechanic is near you would be better off visiting him than trying to figure on your own.

Its also under warranty for the length of your engine warranty term.
