The handling of the Eyra hull is quite special and is one of the things that separates it from the other 20 footers that Bass Cat builds. As said above it is more responsive than the other 20s and may have a little potential for more top end when lightly loaded. I have been in no other hull that will carve up a winding bayou like the Eyra short of the famed Allison hulls. It takes some seat time to learn how to drive it properly but once you do it is a pure blast to drive. Yes, I do find it to be a little more weight sensitive than the Puma and Cougar. It does not like a lot of weight up front and a little can go a long ways in making the boat more enjoyable. That being said, I carried all of my tackle up front which included 20 rod combos, 12 3700 planos, all of my plastics, bulk boxes of extra baits, 3 life vests, and so on. I like to have my two back compartments open for my partner. I will be ordering another Bass Cat soon and it will be another Eyra Hull.Chris CoupelPaulina, La.Chris CoupelPaulina, La.
