You really should go down in pitch to something in the 21-22-23 range. It has several positive effects. It will improve hole shot if you decide to pull a skier or even worse a slalom skier. It gets the motor up into its power band so you can run at a reasonable speed (20-25 for skiing is pretty typical) and the boat wont get dragged off of plane if the skier swings side to side trying to make pylons. You can pull one with a 25/26p prop, but it is a lot of work and you will be constantly working the throttle trying to maintain a constant speed. With a shallow pitch, you just set the throttle and drive. My $.02BTW what pitch you use doesnt really matter, in the range above. You are not going to want to run WOT with any of those, you will hit the rev limiter very quickly. This is sort of like going to a 4WD vehicle and putting it in to the low range. Not for open road running.
