Eyra question

I have owned a Puna FTD and a Caracal. Really debating on an Eyra next. I have noticed that most guys that buy new every year seem to stick with the Eyra. What is the draw to that model vs the Cougar FTD? I understand the obvious differences. Eyra seats set lower, coffin box storage, ect. I need both opinions good and bad of the Eyra. Thanks

I’ve never owned a Puma FTD or Caracal but had a Pantera III before I switched to an Eyra. Things I like about the Eyra are the sporty feel to it and overall great handling – not just when on pad but when fishing. It just maneuvers exceptionally well for a 20′ boat. The only downside I have for my Eyra compared to the Pantera III is that it is a bit less stable on the nose when fishing in high winds. It’s the narrowest of the premium models near the nose and if you have waves/wind coming from the side you can definitely feel them when on the trolling motor.

I’ve had a couple of Eyra’s among a dozen puma ftds and now an STS. If I was going back down to a smaller boat it would probably be an eyra again. I like the layout and fishes very well. Dislike is the lower seats.
