Eyra question….rear lids rubbing on seats

Ever since I bought the boat, 2014 Eyra, the rear compartment lids when opened rub on the back of the seat slightly. I never paid much attention to it, but I can see the discoloration now on the seats from the lids and I’m worried it will rip the seats eventually.

Is this normal for the Eyra?

Does it on most boats never seen anyone have a seat rip. Did it on my sabre and my current caracal. I saw someone on here or bbc shimmed their seat forward with something to prevent it from rubbing.

thanks! Just wanted to make sure it wouldn’t be an issue. I hardly ever open my back compartments but my co-angler reminded me about last weekend ha.

Nope!! 2017 Eyra, no rubbing or discoloration on the drivers or passenger seat, maybe a 1/4″ clearance to the storage lids, FYI

Newer boats have less foam padding on the back side to reduce contact.
