With all the money you blow away on doughnuts there is no way you can afford a new boat. haha
Steve…just go ahead, call Sherm and order an Eyra. Then you will be one of the first to know the numbers. See…problem solved!
Still workin here boss!
Blake: Doughnuts are what you are bringing to the weigh in scalesBill: Im not ordering jack until I see some numbers and crawl over oneBCB: Make her fast
It looks to be about 100-140 lb difference between Eyra to Puma/Puma FTD.
Impressive EK!
Ek as you know information on the Hottest Bass Boat release for 2010/2011 is the Eyra, and for some reason we have not gotten the DATA that is needed to sell it Correctly, how does it run with a 200,225,250 Pro XS, 200,225,250HO ETEC, 200 SHO we all know about, but Tom is a customer not the builder, and we would like Data on a 225 SHO, 225 Regular Opti ETC. I know their is a HUGE Expense in this but how else does a company get REAL data? That info can than be promoted by Mercurymarine.com, Evinirude.com, and heck even Yamahamarine.com…..IM not Complaining just feel this would really help the guys who are faced with numerous Independent test online, boattest.com, and the mentioned sites above. EK do you think this is a True 87mph boat? 75 with a 200 4 stroke makes me think if a guy straps on a Fire Breathing 250 xs or Sport XS, or a 250 HO (no jokes) and we will have that #????? BCB has a true winner here……Brannon
EK,Major Kudos and thanks for sharing. Very impressive. Factor the same setup, reduce air temps by 40° to 50°, run WOT solo and I think 86 mph plus will be a number we see if someone commits the time. I know this is a bridge boat but I think you will agree the deck layout is impressive and I like your jet ski comment. That is dead on accurate. The boat is nimble. Also, This is a great riding boat too. Also, your comment about it being very close to a Puma in overall ride is appreciated but lets add a follow up that the Puma will not be able to match the Eyras bridge to speeds exclusive to this go fast cat. BassCat has a potent lineup of fishing platform choices. We are lucky to have them. You thrill seekers who want go fast speeds approaching specialty boats platforms the Eyra is gonna offer you that with complimenting great ride and 40 years of deck layout designs from the Pierce family. Hang on this is only going to get more interesting in the coming cooler months ahead…Last edited by Flyswatter on September 11th, 2010, 5:08 pm, edited 3 times in total.
HOman…The data you are asking Bass Cat for would cost a fortune and just increase the price of these already expensive rigs! Then … the data would be questioned and doubted anyway.I would rather get the data from real life users (customers), get comments and recommendations from BCB and others like we do now.I do not want to see anything that increases prices and or puts the boat business in more jeopardy than they already are especially when it is done for just conversation and debate.Even if you know all the numbers and data … then what … the rig you buy will have enough variables of weight, gear, weather, driver, moon phase etc that you will make your own numbers! Please … no more price increases… I want a new boat!
Brannon on the right day right set up and the right driver yea .
EK, got any pictures of your boat you can share?
falcoon1 has given a good fundamental assessment of the issues on BCB rendering opinion as well as testing from the costs perspectives. The Eyra has been run by BCB with 200 Pro XS Mercury, 225 Pro XS Mercury, 250 Pro XS Mercury, 200 VMax SHO Yamaha and 250 VMax SHO Yamaha. Yamaha and Mercury have also run most of these combinations, some in replicated set ups on different hulls. To issue top end numbers which is all they have not printed would be disputed as fictitious or fabricated if others can not reach those same results, which is why BCB is usually conservative in their top end information.
If I can figure out how to load them will do.
It should be on the images by serial number.
Choochoo I thought you were gonna Jag with me? I was really shocked at how big the Eyra was when I saw Andy Greenes.Britt
