The cooler weather has definitely hit! Those big smallies are going to be biting on the Great Lakes. From North Carolina/Virginia to Oklahoma the blacks are going to be moving to the flats and the structure. The guys should have a good week at Lake Dardanelle soon in the Regional. It is going to really fire off the way that things are shaping up. There are a variety of ways you can catch them now. Then it is just starting to tick in Texas. LA, MS, AL and the south. That fall bite is a few weeks away and weather has cooled just right. Texoma and Guntersville around the corner and fishing should really be good this fall with the weather we have had! Out West you guys have a solid season ahead, and the water needs to cooperate. Perhaps it will and the Delta and Clear Lake could be coming on. i live up in NY close to erie. havnt been up there yet but we fish chautaqua alot and thats just inland and the green fish there are killin rite now and theyre good 1s too and in about a week and a half the brownies should be jumpin all over a spinnerbait there.

The lows here in North Carolina are supposed to be in the upper 40s this weekend. That ought to make the water temp drop into the upper 60s. From there on it just keeps getting better and better. I cannot wait! If this years bite is only half as good as last years fall bite, its going to be awesome! My dad always told me that 55 degrees is the “magic” water temp to load the boat. That usually hits around November. Rick… take a vacation and come out and go fishing. Hartwell is already exploding! Stone is already making plans for a visit. My wife and I went out to Noxon Reservoir up here in Montana yesterday and caught a 5 pound largemouth, which is a good one for up here, Mike

My folks are in Montana for three weeks right now Robin. Dad drives birdogs all the way out himself for grouse season every year. Folks out there love anyone who isnt from California it seems-C.O.D. Jr. III

Tideman, you ought to come up and visit, the USAF sent me up here in 1980, when I got out I came back and stayed, didnt even know there were bass here till a few years ago. A winning tournament weight out here is usually around 15 pounds per day. You can even run over the pass into Idaho and catch a 20 pound steelhead for something to do in December. Mike

You guys dont want Tideman anywhere near where you live. His place is in Mississippi and thats where he needs to stay. Trust me. I know firsthand. As far as the fall fishing. Cant wait! Summer is still here in East Tx. Bout to burn up from high temps and no rain. Hasnt rained since the cane.

No rain in NorCal since before the first of the year. Many of the local lakes are at or below 50%. The Delta and Clear Lake are looking ok thou, have a trip planned to Clear Lake in a little over a month…wish us luck.
