FAMILY VACATION- HOT SPRINGS-LAKE HAMILTON!!

Hey, guys, my daughter and family have a house rented on the lake next week-arrive on monday. Any help on good local places to eat, attractions, they plan on renting a party barge 1 day for some tubing and site seeing, good marina to rent from.They are on the north side accross from a big marina a park, THey are on a point..Theyll be dring my surburban,white with LSU and BASSCAT all over it , if you seeum holler and give them a shout. Sam find out where they are staying. Mtn harbor or brady are easy to rent from on oauchita. Food at mtn harbor and shangri la good usually. Not sure who to rent from at Hamilton. Will check.C.O.D. Jr. III

The pie at Shangri la is the best in the state supposedly. You have seen the size of those Mount Ida fellows. Tiny Boreland, Hugh Albright, Chris Elders, Big Mark Davis, Aubrey Johnson and more. The kind Sam Rush would share space with, so the food is not bad just maybe bad for you. McClards BBQ in Hot Springs brings the most famous BBQ joint in the state. Bill Clintons favorite of course. Theres more and those who trapse down there some will help you out.Of course with kids Lake Hamilton is the hoppin place with more to do in Hot Springs. Kahuna bay looks like best bet on Hamilton. Problem with Hamilton Sam is that its a small narrow version of Norfolk with 9 billion of your closest drunkest friends. Id drive west on 270 and hit Mtn harbor and rent a cobalt……Maybe go and hit central park fusion one night too.C.O.D. Jr. III

Id just as soon set my hair on fire and run naked through a sandstorm than go to Hamilton this time of year ! Listen to BCB and Ward,,,,,, GO TO OUACHITA !

I live in Hot Springs.. I hate being on Lake Hamilton this time of year. It is way WAY to crowded and a lot of the boaters are young or just people who has never driven a boat and it is very dangerous. BUT, there are a lot of great eats here. Fishemans Warf is my favorite. There are a couple of rental places right on the Hwy 7 bridges. You can go downtown/bath house row and walk through the shops and spas. Magic Springs/Crystal Falls theme park, go carts and put put golf. During the WORK day its may not be that bad, but as the afternoon progresses I would not be on it. Ouachita or Degray would be the safe bet. And you can rent there as well.
