I installed a Prosport12 2 bank charger a couple of weeks ago. The first week – the charger seemed to cycle for about 8-10hrs., then showed complete. This week, the charger is hung on absorption. I plugged the charger in on Saturday evening, and its still showing an amber light. I called promariner this morning and told them the batteries were bubbling and warm, but the charger hadnt yet read complete. They told me to put a digital voltmeter on them and I did. The two read 14.2v and 14.3v. Seems the batteries hit a wall. The charger is wanting to push them to 14.6 before switching out of absorbtion. I cant leave the charger to cook my batteries and theyre not pushing past where the chargers programmed. Off the charger a few hours – both were reading 12.9v.
