I would like to thank Rick at BCB, Mike Lott at Bowden Marine and Ken & Larry at H2O. I fished the 2 day ABA regional last weekend at Dardanelle with my new Cougar that Rick had fished in shortly. The boat was a eye catcher during the event both on the lake and at the ramp. I came off plane after the first day of tournament and my 250 Merc quit and would not start. We weighed in our fish I was in second place and my no boater was in third. After calls to Mike, Rick, Ken & Larry we took off for H2O in Little Rock @ 4:45. Rick called Ken the mgr of H2O and Rick gave the number to call Larry the best Merc Mechanic I have seen in a long time. After my call Larry said for me to pull my boat to him and they would wait for me. My buddy and I arrived in Little Rock at H20 around 6:00 pm on last Friday and both Ken & Larry were there still open waiting. They replaced the air compressor with a new one of another 250 within less than one hour. The boat and I drew more of a crowd when we returned back to the hotel and ramp the next morning. Everyone was amazed at the quick response on these repairs and calls that were made. I felt like a touring pro but only a weekend fisherman. I believe that no other owner, dealer or mechanic could or would have gone the extra step as these folks did. This was a real hit at Triton sponsored event (ABA). Thanks Again Michael Murphy Round Rock, Tx.
Michael, Thank you for your kind words, and we will tell everyone involved that you posted your experience here. BCB
Great story, hope you did well in the tourney too!
Glad to see your post here bragging on my dealer ! They are GREAT people, and always go the extra mile for whoever they can help. Glad you esperienced the H2O difference ! I have another similar situation going on now with a friend from TX. fishing the BWS, and think a coil is out, or whatever,,,,he should be there at H2O now, and i bet he gets the same treatment ! Good hearing about the good guys now and then ! Thanks, D.Last edited by dbasketman on October 9th, 2008, 2:19 pm, edited 1 time in total.
Glad to hear that story Michael…always great to see BCB family helping each other. I bet your confidence soared when you brought your boat back and the other guys probably had a look on their faces of disbelief! Larry and H20 should be proud of this! Now…if I can only get my boat over to him for my power trim issue(need new PT motor)….96 Eyra/12 Mercury 175 Pro XS with 2015 single axle trailer2017 Victory Gunner
IRONIC ! But as they say, turnabout is “fair play” ? The friend of a friend sent to H2O this morning was in another brand rig, and guess what? He got the same attention you did, and was gone in less than one hour. I went over to meet Mike, and met him going the other way on the interstate ! The staff at H2O looks after ALL their customers, as well as their BCB customers ! Now thats service !!! Another point id like to make on all of this. The after hours event that transpired last week was taken care of naturally, under warranty. Warranty doesnt pay one penny more for OT than regular hours,,,,,,so that tells you the caliber of individuals involved ! They are tournament fishermen,,,,, nuff said ! D.
Good folks over there for sure. If they will put up with the basketman, you know they will put up with alot.
I have a DANG good tech at Rockwall that I would put up against anyone BUT having said that I think he and Larry might be related Ken and basketboy are alright Glad they got you fixed up but it is no surprise… Judd Lasiter
another big reason why i made my BCB purchase
On Fri I drew a local. So we went in his boat. It was a 20 Nitro with a 225. if that was you that blew by us running into Piney. I looked down and we were running about 67 mph. I bet you had some Nitro decals stuck in your compressor.
