Yesterday, when washing my boat, I noticed a couple chips on one of my hull strakes. I guess I didn’t notice it before, as it’s near the trailer bunk. In any event, I marine tex’d it to seal it, but need to take it to the glass shop when I have time. I’m limited to glass shops where I live, but had work done on another boat by a local Ranger dealer. Their glass shop did a great job, but after a couple year, I noticed the area around the repair yellowed up; It was a white hull. What would cause the yellowing, and how do I prevent it when I get the new repair? Is this caused by inferior resins, and is there something I can purchase from Bass Cat to have them use? Thanks.
