.A couple years ago I had to make some tough decisions and selling my 2014 that I bought new was one of those decisions. I wasn’t able to fish how I wanted or fished from the duck boat. Been on the hunt for a few months and finally picked up a new to me Bass Cat, a 2000 Pantera Classic. Solid boat but needs some TLC and possibly needs a powerhead rebuild. Picked it up for dirt cheap and more than happy to be back in the BCB family. Hard to see but Malibu Blue/Silver Mist.
Anyways, here it is. Already wetsanded and starting the compounding process then will apply the protec products. Replacing the brake actuator next week. Other than the gelcoat being a little more neglected than what it should have been the boat was overall taken pretty good care of for its age. Came with a brand new Motorguide, Humminbird Helix 9 DI/SI and has a Gorilla hull. Also has the A10 touchpad upgrade.
Slowly but surely it’s coming along while I’m saving up for the engine rebuild and a new trailer actuator to come in. Wet sanded, compounded with heavy cut 3M, another ammonia based wash to removed any left over compound. After that I went with the Pro-Tec Nu Paint product, buffed that in and applied their sealer polish. Tomorrow it’ll get another sealer polish coat. Now I to get all my new decals, compartment trim and other goodies. Also the fenders are going through the same process right now, then the wheels will get some real attention.
Doesn’t look quite new, but definitely doesn’t show it’s age anymore. That’s as far and I personally will take the gelcoat down, it has some spots that could use more sanding. Probably take it to a pro next year.
