Topic: Finally figured it out

Ok, the decision has finally been made! After MUCH deliberation the wife and I have decided to go with a Pantera 4. The Winnebago system is just too big for the Sabre and my garage is too small for the 20ers. I have a Triton in the garage right now that has the exact same storage length as the P4 with swing tongue. It will have to go in crooked but will fit no problem.As part of the deal with my wife I have my ZX-14 up for sale. I have my buddies boat in the garage until he gets back from Iraq (late August). Once it is gone I will be buying the P4. Here is what it MUST have:-2006 or newer-Dual Console-Merc Opti (standard or ProXS)-Minn Kota bowmount-Swing TongueIf any of you have one that will be looking to sell late this year or early next year let me know. There is a slight chance I might buy new so if you could all post pics of your P4s here I would greatly appreciate it. That will give me a chance to see the color schemes. The motor has about 5 hours so far so its not broke in. So far Ive had it to 64 mph gps with 5100 rpms showing on the tach. Figure it will break 70 easy but dont know by how much. Holeshot on it is phenomenal. I swear it feels like less than 1 sec and its on plane. If this motor proves to be as good as they say then I dont see a need for 2 strokes. At least not from 200 – 250.

I have just repowered my 2002 Sabre with a 150 four stroke Yamaha. I have a little bit of tweaking to do yet, but I can say this-The F-150 is one sweet motor. I am very pleased with the hole shot and top end. After I get everything dialed in, I will talk about this a little more. So yes, four strokes have a place on bass boats.

I bet you see mid 60s easy. The F150 is a stout motor.
