Finally the long wait is just about over

July will be 4 years since I logged on this site as a member to find the right Bass Cat for me. I have looked at this site and many others every day and it looks like my wait is over. I returned my buyers option papers to Greene Boat and Motors today. A big thanks to Andy Greene for working with me since becoming a Bass Cat dealer in North Carolina. The boat is listed on greeneboats.com as the 2007 Pantera IV with a Yamaha motor. They are tweaking a few things for me before I pick it up. Installing a Hambys, second back up light, E-ladder, sonar w/gps unit in the bow to replace the sonar only unit that is currently on it then networking the 2 units and a Deans custom cover. Andy also doing some extras for me as he said ” I want to get another Bass Cat in eastern NC real bad. He dont know how bad I have been wanting him to put me in one. The P4 is the perfect fit for my style of fishing. I have been lurking on this board for years trying to learn as much about the boat as possible but I am sure I will have several questions after I get it home and on the water.

Cape fear i know how you feel, i am in the same boat. Just waiting on a few things to work themselves out. Where are you in relation to Cape fear. When i was in the Marines i fished cape fear and sutton lake down in wilmington like everyday or atleast every other day. Me and a guy named Daniel Parish who has a band there in town got together and he showed me all of the good places to fish. Good luck with your new boat. I know you will enjoy it.

Lasabre,I am located in Hope Mills which is located outside of Fayetteville and Ft. Bragg. I am located about 75 east of Sutton Lake in Wilmington. I cut my fishing teeth on the Cape Fear River about 45 years ago. I still fish it and the Northeast Cape Fear several times a year. I fish a lot of skinny water in some of the lakes and rivers of eastern NC. I had read that the PIV will draft shallow for a boat its size as well as handle the big water.

I shouldhave said I am 75 West of Sutton Lake. To the east would put me in the Atlantic Ocean. LOL!

Ive been looking at that PIV at Green for a few days now.Very sharp rig.Best of luck to you with it.Ive noticed there arent that many pre-owned PIVs out there.I guess that tells you something about them.Ive been looking around and asking questions for 2 yrs.now.Next spring Ill hit the big 5-0 and cant think of a better b-day present.In the neantime I hope to be able to get hooked-up with a demo ride.ENJOY.
