Spent the day on Ouachita yesterday, and caught some good fish outta the Caracal, even stunk up the livewells ! Boat fishes great, very stable, solid as a rock platform. Plenty of room and very familiar controls and functions. Lid latches on the coolers and live wells are great, seats are very comfortable on runs, and the ride is really surprisingly good for a 19 class boat. I did however notice that it is a 19 boat when the cranking rod came out ! You got to remember that there is someone in the back of the boat, whereas the 20 rig you dont have that issue. You dont have to have an intercom in this boat like the Jaguar, and other than that it is very similar to the Jag. I would prefer the under seat storage, and could see the front deck with two center box lids like the Eyra instead of the three. Unsure of whether I like the retractable straps yet or not, and can see adding some bungees for really rough trips. The boat is BIG, you really do not notice the size until you get it around other boats, and I absolutely love the deck, the height, width, and angle of elevation is awesome. We still got some work to do on the set-up and propping. Im not getting the desired rpms loaded with gas and livewells full and two men, but we will ! It should easily be a 70+ mph fully loaded rig, and we are close. And that will be good enough for me ! I bought this rig to fish tournaments, not race,,,, except to weigh-in !For those sitting on the fence,,,,,,, jump off ! It is all that I wanted in a 198″ boat and then some. b.t.w. I only missed the triangle livewell once yesterday from the front deck !
Sounds Great Doug! I am sure you are glad to have graduated from BBT,Dan
Thanks for your observations and impressions. When you have the opportunity could you please post some additional pictures of your rig? Also, does the Caracal have the built in bow navigation lights?
Yes, bow lights are built in, and all the bells and whistles are onboard. Compare these two pics from my Caracal and a Jag.

The full windscreen is the way to go if you want some protection, period.Got a call from my buddy after he ran my boat with the 25p ProMax prop, and he said he thinks its as good as it is gonna get. Full tournament load, two men, livewells, gas, etc,,,, its a 70 mph boat around 5700 rpms. Alone 72.6 mph, 5850rpms,,,, thats good for this rig and its size and beam. Its much better driving, lifting, and handling than the 25p Fury that was on it Im told, and he drove the boat all day yesterday, so he has the feel of how it performed. This is good to me, and I should be very happy with those #s. I wanted a PIV with a 225 rating, and got so much more with this Caracal !The shiny aluminum bright machined net/tool holder is going to get anodized or hydrographed, or something…….I will advise when I get to it, but that is last on my list now. Ive got tons of tackle to sort through and organize, and figure out how to do that is gonna be a chore. This boat is so solid, and feels and sounds totally different than the others Ive owned. The trolling motor is even more stable, the graphs are holy crap, the graphs ! The Lowrance HDS 12, and HDS 9 are incredible, I will never learn to operate them to their potential !My old Cougar would smoke this boat in a race, but this boat is definitely hands down a better, more stable platform for what I intend to do in a boat, fish.Cant wait to get this dude in it !
Get off my hole! Good ol Pool 3 baby!GAF needs to be there next C.O.D. Jr. III

Another suggestion for the net holder is to have a gunsmith Cerakote it. I have 2 gunsmith buddies that can do it if your interested.
