First Trip in the Sabre

New Years Day I took my new Sabre out and the only way to describe it is AWESOME.Coming from a 20 foot boat I was really sceptical on how I would like the way it performed.To be honest I think it did just as good if not better in ever aspect.I had a buddy fishing with me and he stayed on the back deck most the day and never even noticed he was there.I am certainly glad to be part of the Basscat Family. I even got to break it in with my first few fish of the new year.

Well you are probably right but I took the picture with the truck today. Here in Louisiana we are having snow and rain mix and I was chicken and didnt even go but probably would have smoked them today.I did go yesterday and got some more time behind the wheel and cant get over how this boat handles.My dad was with me and he loved the boat all he could talk about was how comfortable the seats were compared to my last boat.But I figured before the big front hit they would turn on but I was wrong only managed 4 but they were all 3-4 lbs. but still a good day on the lake.

Id like to score a couple like that about now, great job breaking in the front deck!If you think its fun driving the boat right now just wait until you have the ten hours on it and can really let it eat. I tell folks all the time its like having a daggum go kart on the water. YEHHHAAAAA Hang ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Really nice fish. What lake were you on? Planning on a trip soon to Toledo Bend. Read the lake level is still down since they lowered it to do some maintenance.

I was on Caddo Lake on the Texas side.Yea almost all of our lakes are down at least 2-3 feet.
