Fished Weiss this weekend and man they are on fire! Never had so much fun on a Rat L Trap!
A friend and I also had a great day yesterday on a small lake by the house. We caught several 3-4 pound fish and a 6.26. All on a trap and a jig. Another guy in a Sabre noticed my Cat and came over to ask if I could take a picture of his 8 pounder. Great day on the water and got to meet another fellow BassCatter.Last edited by Mainliner61 on November 10th, 2014, 2:47 am, edited 1 time in total.
Fished Norfork last Thursday and had a blast !! — Caught over 50 bass , a bunch of white bass , and even a nice 24 inch walleye , which has since been eaten , and yes , it was GOOOOOOD !!! — Gotta love the fall !! – Hoss
Hoss, did you by chance formerly live in South Arkansas?

I think its about time to do it again. Youd love the Fouke/Texarkana area….. you have Patman and Millwood very close. (Millwood is my favorite lake in the world even though its nearly a 2 hour drive for me now.

Ive made the Fork trip every May for the last 8 years , and I ding dang sure got my heart broke this year . — But I guess thats what keeps me going back . — Havent broken that magic 10 lb. mark yet , but Ive gotten pretty close a couple of times . — This year was it , but that ol sow jumped 3 feet in the air , winked at me ( I swear it !! ) , and spit my lizard right back at me !!! — She was at least a 10 , and mightve pushed 12 , but then theyre always bigger when you DONT catch them . — Maybe next year !?!?!? — Hoss
I know exactly what you mean. Ive been fortunate to break the 10 lb mark twice but several years ago at Fork I got my heart broke on a sho nuff slaunch. All I could see was a quick glimpse as she bulldoged right beside the boat but she was easily in the 12-13 lb range. way bigger than anything Ive ever tied into before. broke 20 lb mono like it was 6lb. my dad caught a 9+ that day and I was happy for him but all I could think about was how much bigger that one I lost was……..Cant wait to get back there.
