Hi, me again. This years Fishing for Freedom event on Truman lake is bigger than ever. We have over 150 wounded and disabled warriors participating and need boaters to take these folks out if you can. We are currently about 30 boats short. This has become a popular event and we really need your help. These guys put themselves in peril so the rest of us can stay back here and go fishing. The planned schedule of events are a tournament registration and tournament meeting on Sat 6 October followed by a dinner at the Warsaw community center. Sunday morning the tournament will go out of Longshoal boat ramps and the Longshoal Marina will be providing a free breakfast for everyone. After the weigh in there will be a awards presentation and a barbeque dinner served. While this is a tournament format we feel it has become more of a social function. We have not heard any bad comments on this and a lot of anglers have developed a good friendship with these warriors. Please, if you can help take a wounded soldier out for a day of fishing it would be appreciated.
