Guys, I posted earlier that I needed boaters for this event and I believe a couple of folks stepped up to the plate. I dont know for sure who did as I never got the chance to talk to very many folks but if you did I really appreciate everything you did. At one point we had 50 boaters paired with wounded soldiers. In the last week we had additions and cancellations that actually dropped our field to 31 boats. We had folks come from as far away as Lousiana, Kentucky, Illinois, and Nebraska. Truman was stingy with the bigger fish and I heard a lot of short fish were caught. 1st place was a little over 12lbs. All in all for the first tournament of this type we have sponsored it went pretty well. We have a lot of folks already wanting to help out for next year. I am working on a web page that will be linked from our site that will have additional pictures and acknowledgements for sponsors and the pros that were gracious enough to help us with this event.
