My brother and I were fortunate enough to win the Fishlife Collegiate Tour this past weekend on Neely Henry in Alabama. Fishlife runs the best tour there is and they have the best payouts possible, for a $50 entry fee we won $1,500 for 1st and a Orca cooler. This is the first “billboard” check I have ever won and I was able to do so in my new 15 Eyra. The Fishlife tour is a “bird” (Phoenix) boat sponsered trail so it was sweet to steal one from them in a Cat. Out of 56 other collegiate boats I only saw one other Cat in this event. However, after weigh inns I had almost 10 people come look at boat. Afterwards they informed me that their next boat would be a cat becuase they were overwelmed with the small detail put into the boat. Thanks Bass Cat for making the best boat there is and all you do for us!
What a sweet win!!! Congrats also on stealing one from the birds. LMAOMike
Congratulations! We appreciate the kind comments on the boat. Now you need to be sure those are sanctioned for Quest before you win another one. BCB

Congratulations on a great win and representing the BCB family so well.
I just spoke with Jody from FishLife, he said he had it sanctioned before but will make sure it is going forward from here.
Thanks guys for all the kind words, it was my fault on the sanctioning part I was under the impression all Collegiate Regional/National fishing tours were sanctioned automatically so I didnt pursue any further. I know now for the next one on September 5th right down the road at Weiss lake, at the end of the day its a good problem to have I guess
There are dozens of Collegiate levels starting to pop up. Those which are strictly a collegiate level might be sanctioned. Though here is the guideline and the rest will be left to the opinion in house.C. National and Regional Collegiate Bass Fishing Events: This regards to sanctioning of National and Regional Collegiate Bass Fishing events. These incentives will be $2,000 for those with a GPA of 3.25 or better, and $1,000 for those with a GPA of 2.75 or above, for Sanctioned Regional or National Collegiate Championships. Presently there are three (3) recognized affiliations. The student must be a Full Time student with at least 12 hours. This applies to collegiate anglers as in where a direct family member owns the boat that they use in the event, and does not include one time borrowing for the event. They must both qualify in and use an eligible Bass Cat boat during the event and those prior, unless boat was acquired just prior to competition. Those college anglers also competing in non Collegiate events are qualified for all other Quest events, as long as they compete in a qualified Bass Cat boat during the collegiate season, and/or fall within the guidelines for GPA and scholastic hours as a Full Time Student. Borrowing a boat for a Quest sanctioned event as a singular does not qualify, unless used under the requirements above. Post graduation competition is only qualified for competition in the Collegiate events, The are not able to compete in further sanction events or compete as Quest members in this as an open program, unless they own their boat, This period is past the first semester of the scholastic year post graduation. Full Time Masters and Doctorate programs do qualify post Bachelors degree as ongoing education, pending these are full time programs (proof required).
