Five weeks from today Ill be at Rayburn preparing for the OI ! The longer it stays cold, the better the fishing will be when we get there ! Those Florida bass are finicky,,,, so we will see, but dang Im looking forward to the trip ! Whos coming ?Last edited by dbasketman on February 24th, 2015, 5:35 pm, edited 2 times in total.

water temp sat 52-57 mid lake in the back of coves. looks like this week will knock it back into the upper 40 range . it was starting to get good . 20 – 30 fish per day not uncommon .

I will be attending my first big OI. And I will be fishing with my Dad. This will likely be my last big bass fishing trip with him as he is getting up in years. He is primarily a crappie fisherman now but he taught me how to bass fish at an early age and I am looking forward to this trip. Plus Im looking forward to seeing 400 BCBs all in one place. Our goal for 2015 is of course 500 boats and we will be very pleased with 365 boats. The 2013 attendance was less than we hoped as many knew then, however it was a huge success for the first trip away from home. Very few boats were within 100, or even 150 miles and everyone at Sam Rayburn that was there was in our target zone. Lately at Norfork our target zone is usually only 150 to 200 boats. This year we hope it actually outperforms Norfork in that respect. Which would set the stage for Bull Shoals and Guntersville to do the same.

B C B , with the cost of gasoline being what it is , you may get more participants than youre hoping for . — I can remember some 500 plus boats in years past on Norfork . — If I could only afford to take 2 trips to Texas for a week at a time !! — Unfortunately , I cant , so I opted for the first week of May for my annual Fork trip with my youngest son . This will be our 10th year , and I look forward to it greatly !! — That being said , all of you have a great time , and catch a bunch of BIGUNS !! — Hoss

My wife and I are going to be there and are really looking forward to the tournament. This will be our first Owners tournament and only my second time on Sam Rayburn. I have been busy getting her equipment in order and hope she can catch a few. Larry Brumley
