Hey guys, my flipping deck arrived from the factory today. Can someone walk me through the procedure for installing? Any tips or tricks I should know about? Is it absolutely necessary to bolt on? I hate the idea of drilling holes but will do it if necessary.Thanks in advance for any advice you can give.

We prefer the bolt in as the deck can move and and slip off the groove. Its just not a solid mount the old way.

Thank you. I put the deck in place this evening and agree that it should be bolted in. It is a tight fit but I want a solid mount as snug/flush to the other compartment lids as possible. Can someone please post a pic or detailed description of where the bolts should placed? Im assuming two are going to bolt through the decks lower lip into the inside of the rod lockers. What about the other two bolts? The front of the lip doesnt overhang onto the fiberglassSorry for all of the questions but I want to be 100% sure before drilling:) Thanks!

Yeah def. secure it. I looked at a similar sized “R” boat before I found my Sabre and it had the deck insert and was not bolted down… ask me what happened the first time I stepped up on it… bout caught the other end of it in the knee/shin. I stepped right on the back of it and the front of it flew up…. if I hadnt been stepping up easy it probably would have got me.13 PIV w/ 200 MercIG: WarriorRiverCustomRods
