So this boat is new to me. Floor is nice and solid. Boat is in awesome condition.I have the boat covered, I do my best to keep it dry, just as I always did with my Skeeter. The exception is, my Skeeter had a Skeeter waterproof cover, vinyl like outside, fuzzy inside! The Basscat has just a universal blue cover. I need to find something better.Anyways, I assume the only way for the water to drain from the main floor is via the drain that is sorta centered in the floor? What good is this design?!! If the boat is not level, 1/2″ of water will not drain!Suggestions, ideas? Surely others have taken even their garden hose to the carpets for cleaning, etc….Thanks!!

They did elevate the drain plate on those and aluminum spacers were custom made that fit around each corner. If your doesnt have them odds are someone removed them. And you can increase the space where carpeting prevents drainage.

BCB, youve lost me…I think you are saying the drain plate is elevated? Mine appears to be flush, but I am not there to look right now.So if its flush, someone made it flush, perhaps to not stub your toes on it?Do you ahve any pics of what I am supposed to see?Thank you for your reply.

So we are talking a 21-22 year old model product. No pics on a 1995. That was long before digital cameras existed and when computers were measured by 320k and 460k. Not even a gigabyte was commonly available in a PC yet till after Windows 95. Judy pull it up and check the flooring underneath to see if it is degrading as it will from fatigue, which will crawl back and loosen the laminates and seem like rotting, though it is a common fatigue area just right of the drain. When you pull the drain there should be a corner piece and it will appear as flat. They have been removed in the past just because they didnt know what they were for. They do not protrude up enough to be a problem. It just allows a bit of water to seep throu carpeting that would be compressed and trash may also have gotten intermingled and be blocking it like a filter. BCB
