Flow Wrong Valve

Im installing a new Flow Right mechanical valve on my P2. When I water tested it prior to installation, it holds water. When I installed the valve and filled the livewell with a hose, water still poured out when it was in the closed position.Any suggestions?

It sounds like you need to reverse the assembly. Some require the arms and cables retention clamp to be on the opposite side.

If the Flow-Rite valve is installed backwards the livewell will drain when the actuator knob is in the “AUTO” position. Flow-Rite valves are marked with “transom” and “livewell” for ease in determining correct mounting position. Another potential cause of your issue could be the mounting of the cable to both the valve and actuator. If the cable is not mounted to either the valve or actuator correctly this will cause the valve to not function properly.
