BR200 in the Cougar….amongst all those Rangers. He was a boat driver for three Japanese fishing magazine reporters who were hear to report on Shin Fukae. Since he drove our boat, I drove my friends Skeeter. I cant complain about his ZX225…did a fine job for me and many thanks to him.
a good Friend of mine from here is fishing that tournament so his name is Steve Smith so if you can get a photo or two of him that would be great . I talked to him today and he said he is leaving Friday to prefish and he is prefishing with George Cochran another Arkansas great .
Is he a co-angler??
I also have to give a big shout out the the Florida Gator college bass team. Forrest Wood really bragged on the juniors and college fisherman and he made a good point that they may possibly running our country one day and they all were fine kids. He made a great comment that their outdoor experience helped in molding them into fine kids. Jake and Matt have become friends of ours since competing against BR200 and they are fine young men. Congrats to them for making the FLW Cup.
Makes me happy to see another Cat with GA on the side. Also Glad there was a good lookin boat there. Rusty
Hey BR400 — BR200 is the driver? He fished in one of my clubs open tournaments this past winter on Lanier launched out of Aqualand. Duluth Bass Club.He might remember me – I was looking at his (your) boat before launch back when I still had my Nitro. Tell him I got the Puma FTD. He did pretty good that day in the Tournament as I recall.
Thats him. I will let him know. Yep, he did have a few good days on Lanier last fall/winter.
I read on FLW website he gave a competitor a ride in on day three that was broke down? That guy ended up making the cut and A didnt. Not that any one of us wouldnt do the same but that speaks very highly of him!
The competitor was Troy Morrow, and he made sure everyone in attendance was aware of what Adrian had done for him. He also made sure that everyone knew what it had costed Adrian to do so. Hats off to the both of them as it will resonate on both of their careers. Adrian is a very well spoken young man that I got the privilege to meet at the second day weigh in and again on the third day launch on the docks. His dad was there to help him and is also very personable, the apple didnt fall far from the tree.BrianBrianHAWG Hunter2013 BassCat Eyra2013 Mercury 250 Pro XS Gen2 L/U
Pretty good accomplishment from Wheeler. His second Cup appearence, finishes 1st last year and 2nd this year. wow
For as big event as the Cup the coverage was terrible. It was hard to even get the results hours after the weigh in was over. It was easier for a regular FLW event to see the results and on the water up dates
Wareaglecat I think the big deal is they are pushing their phone app. With my membership and the app I could watch any boat live with sound as much as wanted. Also see the weigh-in and results live. With the way espn and other networks want to air tour de france and bowling, they maybe conditioning us to computers and smart phones for our entertainment. Which might be good that we can get in our cats and fish while seeing results.
I cant that you all enough for the support I have gotten from day one! As many of you know fishing in general has many highs and lows, but when there is 500K on the line, those lows can be quite lower when you fall short. From the very begging I have been truly blessed with not only a very supportive family, but also from many other individuals who have gotten my very short career where it is today. Rick Pierce, you are one of them. From the BassCat Reps around the country, to the sweet ladies answering the phone, “that i promise to bother”, to the man himself. BassCat Boats is truly a family, and when the time comes at the end of each derby, I know my cat will get me home. Confidence is everything in this sport. It is a true mental game that is won 6 inches between the ears. For those attending the Toyota Texas Bass Classic, be sure to stop me, nothing beats talking fishing with some BassCat Family!
