Took the eyra on a 200 mile round trip through the Louisiana delta marsh to Venice. She did great. Thanks for being such a great seller.

Spohrerg,Good on you. You took the Eyra to another level with your upgrades. 101l lb TM, Pro Pole, winning a tournament the first time out with the Eyra then you find out youre AOY in your club. You are on fire!!! Congrats!!!

GEE thanks FlyswatterUnfortunately for me I was the goat and was told all I needed to do was catch 1,uno,one fish and Id be AOY. Well Gerald gets this new boat , gets mad at the greenies and has the heaviest stringer individually for the day at 10+ lbs (we weigh 3 per person, but draw teams and the team weighs 6 total) and big bass at 4+ lbs.I did catch my fish (3 for 8.59 lbs) and finished 2nd as a team w/ 17 lbs, but Gerald deserved it he braved 30-40 mph winds Saturday scouting and I got DDDRRRRRRUUUNNNKKKKK.

Happyhour, That BA Erya had a firecracker hot angler and you were a victim of circumstance. However, it sounds like you did quite well if you ask me. Good on you. All I know you La. boys can sure fish well out of those BassCat boats. I wouldnt want to compete or tangle with you all. Performance Side Note: Id like to see Gerald connect with Doug McGee and all his props this time of the year. I dont know how far you all are apart but I bet a special number could be had. All the same great read and great post. On all fronts that be BassCat strong!

I hope I see that Eyra around. I would love to get a close up look at one. Maybe even get a prop test day set up and I can get a ride in that Beauty. Im sure you are proud of it Spohrerg!!Oh and Fly, not all of us louisiana boys can catch fish out of our cats. But, HappyHour is one of the best and from what Ive seen Doug can put em down too. If Spohrerg beat Happyhour for aoy then that speaks for itself. We are blessed with one hell of a fishery down here though, and that allows even average fishermen such as myself to catch em pretty good. Its a really healthy fishery right now. Im going to spend the weekend in Venice for the weekend after Thanksgiving. It should be absolutely stupid down there then. Everyone whos here should take a trip down there soon. We have our last club tournament for the year this weekend in the Basin. Its a 2 day and I expect it to take over 32 lbs to win it. It should be a fun weekend. Heck Doug just dont have time to fish anymore! Me and Jimmy Attusso used to put in 90-100 days a year fishing. Now with a job, 2 kids, 2 businesses and toting with boat setups I fish about 20 days a year. But the lil fella is in school now so I might be able to slip off a lil more during the week. And since my shoulder surgery it doesnt hurt to fish anymore and that helps! At 46 I just wish I had the energy I did 10 years ago

That’s what I mean putting the Eyra to the test. Running the Mississippi river delta in Louisiana is treacherous as you can see in happyhour’s profile pic. Between wind, tide, and ever changing marsh because of hurricanes along with 2 and 3 hour runs for tournaments this makes basscats a huge advantage to us down here. Happyhour speaking of getting drunk lets get drunk tomorrow in the spillway when I get off this night shift.
