Guys I just purchase an 08 Cougar FTD. On my first trip out in my new boat, I noticed that the front deck squeaked and made noise when you moved around the base for the front seat pole. Any ideas on how to fix this? My friend had this problem on his Gambler. Gambler told him to drill a few hole in the deck and spray foam insulation. Any one else have this problem? Any suggestions would help?

DONT DO THAT! The squeaking is probably the pin base in the deck pedestal making where it is sitting in the lower base under the deck. We would not let it concern us in the shrot term from fishing. Though we would address it with the dealership and contact Service if you have any idea of how to convey where you are seeing this. The decks are not one piece supports and are individual small blocks of support. We do not see any way the deck could be squeaking and expect it to be the pedestal itself.

I posted something back on another post about someone having problems getting the seat pole out. I had that problem and the squeaky problem on my 07 Sabre. It was the seat pedestal. I used some silicone spray and fixed both. Not sure if BCB recommends this, but it would be a cheap start to see if it would work for you. Brian
