Fury 24p vs Fury 25p

Good day all, current set up is 2019 cougar ftd with Mercury 250 pro xs v8 with 25p tempest plus. I’m only getting 5600-5800 rpm and know there is room to improve. Everyone is saying the 24 fury is the prop to use, I have a line up on a fury 25p and wonder if this will be an improvement over the tempest 25p.

Hi Joe, I have the same boat and also had a 19 model. The 25 Fury will outperform the Tempest. I have run the 25 Fury and gets about 6k rpm’s and the 24 Fury about 6200 rpm’s. If you have a hydraulic Jackplate and can move the motor up for the holeshot the 25 will get you top speed. If you have a manual and run 4 batteries, poles etc. I would run the 24. Answer to your question the 25 Fury should out perform the tempest.

Ok sweet thanks for the info, I have raptors and lithium batteries. What about a 24 tempest??? I do have a hydraulic JP
