Fury on a Cougar??

If I was going to buy a new fury prop for a 2003 Cougar FTD with 225 Optimax, would I get a 24P or a 25P????? Maybe the BCB boys will chime in here as well. Thanks

i have a 2008 Cougar Advantage Elite with a 225 Pro XS…. A friend of mine has a 2004 Cougar FTD with a 225 Opti we both run a 26p Fury and its a great combination. Ver fast wholeshot and top end for a 225. Mine will touch 77mph or maybe a lil more in really cool water. My friends will run 74 mph.

Bud, You are going to love my Dads boat. That 25T1 that is on it runs the boat very good. If you get a fury let us know how it performs. We were curious about them for our Pumas. Shane

Thanks Shane, I am prejiduce and cant help it, I cant stand the thought of that yammie prop being on my black motor haha, but I ran a yammie last year, & guess what? I put a Tempest plus on it! I have been wanting to try a Fury for a while now, jus havent had the right opportunity. I was actually leaning too the 24P , because I am a big guy, & carry lots of gear. I got a buddy running a 26 on a toon 196 with 200 3.0 efi. Does very well. I might just try the 25 instead. If it dont work, I can always list it here for sale. Thanks Shane!

Im running a 24 Fury on my Jag with an 02 Optimax, Im on the limiter at under 75 degrees at 3000 feet above sea level. I think if your near sea level youll get a lot more out of your motor with the 25 Fury. Mike

I have an 05 FTD with 225 EFI, I went with the 25 fury and have been in the 72-74 mph range depending on conditions and load. The hole shot is outstanding.

Fellas are your speeds by yourself? I have an 05 Puma and a 225 HO and when i bought it the guy had a 27″ tempest. Me and one other person ran 72. I demoed the 26 fury and could only muster 70 at 5800 rpms with the same load. I put my 27 tempest back on. I am new but some have said the 27 is a bit too steep.
