My truck is at dealership. Dodge dually. $wd w/stick shift. Took it in for AC blower fan making weird racket. Racket turned out to be napkin stuck way down where you couldnt see or get to it. They also found damper panel for AC to go on recirc wasnt operating right. Check. Got that fixed. Also told them ujoint in front driveshaft was leaking oil/grease from around seals and was starting to squeal going down the highway. Not good. They checked that. Ujoint definitely bad. They subesequently found uoke connection on driveshaft was wallered out to oblong shape. Result: driveshaft needs replacement, so Im going to pick up truck, drop off rental car, and drive around w/o a 4wd driveshaft for about a week while the new driveshaft is delivered. I dont expect to need the 4WD any time soon, so dealership said factory okd driving it until new shaft comes in. Man am I ever glad I got that extended warranty. It has now paid for itself probably 3 times over. I need to look into how much getting it extended costs past 100K miles. I got 83k now.
