Just bought a 741XS. Have not installed it yet…waiting on delivery of the transducer. Has anyone used one of these with the chirp transducer ( Airmar TM150M ) which provides chirp for traditional sonar and down view? If so , what is your opinion ? ( image quality…target separation etc. )I will be replacing my Humminbird 957 bow unit.

Never used one, but they do look interesting. Keep us posted and post some pics if possible of the screens.

Yes Ive used some of the older garmin units and always loved them. Im curious about these new ones as well.

Its fantastic and the definition and speed of the chirp is better than traditional sonar. May not make as much difference in shallower freshwater but the response time in deeper depths for me is great 150-200. You will really enjoy the touch screen and the chartplotter. Best mapping around IMO.

Flyswatter and I have discussed them….more like he has talked and I have listened, LOL. Hes the guy to go to abut electronics.
