I am currently using one. I had Bull Shoals Boat Dock install it as I was hesitant about drilling holes in the boat. That being said, I also had them install a switch in the front that has a bus bar attached to it. My foot pedal, both 9″ graphs, and panoptix box are all wired via the switch and separate wires that I pulled from the back and up the side for separate power and ground. I am glad that I went through the extra trouble doing this as it does help with making sure everything is fused and wired properly in case anything has issues. One final suggestion is to go through everything that Garmin puts in their installation when you finally get on the water. That includes all of the items regarding the remote, even if you might never use it. There are several items that are sorta hidden, such as you can tell the motor which direction you want the prop parked in for clearance issues. And of course, if you are running other garmin units make sure everything is updated, then it all plays nice together. The motor is a beast, and is worth every penny so far.
