Gas Additive?

Do you use a Gas additive? All the time? What kind? Why? Curious to read a lot of opinions on this.Dan

Yes. Not always the same one, but something to combat ethanol, always.

I use Marine Stabil to help combat ethanol. Ive used it since it came out on the market. Not had any trouble, so I continue to use it. There are many products out there, all claiming to do the same thing. Make your choice and pay your money.

I use Yamaha ring free and SeaFoam in every gallon of fuel. Use boat year round so I never let the fuel get “old “

Oh Boy…..Yes I do….additives… yep, all the time… what kinds? here you go…I have a 2006 Merc 200 Opti….I add all 3 merc Quicklean products when I add gasPlus Seafoam…Why?are you kidding?this boat needs to last me a looooong time, cuz. I would throw chicken bones in a corner if thats what someone suggested to keep the motor reaper from showing up.And… the opti runs great!!I fish year round in South La. so I want to believe I run the fuel out as I should…. but I still worry… Please dont crucify me on this, my brother does enough of that everytime I break out a bottle of something and pour it into the gas tank!!! HA!

I buy non-ethanol gas but I still put in Marine Stabil and StarTron. Additives dont do anything about the ethanol. I buy non ethanol gas. Sure I guess they cut down phase separation but I aint going more than two weeks without runnin one. You buy ethanol gas youre gonna have plasticizer issues. I can understand some sort of desire to manage micro debris from plasticizer floating around and getting injected but no product advertises that fact to any specs I have read. Stabil and Ringfree whenever I add fuel. I try to get non ethanol whenever possible but that is not always available.
