I would say if the dealer told you to do that, do it. If something goes wrong related it to it, they told you told to do it. I have been running mercury fuel treatment/stabilizer, just to be safe. I cant find what the difference actually is between that and quickleen as they both indicate they clean, while the fuel treatment/stabilizer states it is also good for storage. Seems to be good insurance, since I cant predict if I will run the gas out in two weeks or two months, I will error on the side of caution as a bottle of the stuff is not much in the scheme of things. I also try to fill up outside of the metroplex area and find non-ethanol gas when I can, though I think it all contains a bit of it to some degree, just some more than others. This gas with the 10% ethanol is poor stuff. The mileage in my truck drops about two miles per gallon with it and I dont think anything runs as good/smooth with it. The mileage drop by itself tells me something. I have also noticed it does not last very long in the lawn mower either. I have also recently had someone tell me they have noticed it discoloring their metal gas storage cans. BCB recently made some comments about fuel, you might search back a few weeks. Read up on it and make your own decision. It really seems gas quality is on the way down and you really dont know what you will get anywhere.Last edited by Fisherman74 on May 30th, 2009, 3:18 am, edited 1 time in total.
