Gatorbak leaving scuff marks on hull?

They peel off like rubber, but is this normal? Also, has anyone else had trouble with rub rail. Mine came out today on the water. Brand new Puma FTD.

Ive heard there is issues like that with the gatorbaks.I wondered if using carpet but instead of solid wood bunks use something like the plastic grating they use for walk ways (catwalks) so water drains away.

My gatorback bunks have actually started putting grooves in the hull of my 2016 Sabre. I notified my dealer and they said I was already on the list of ppl, who was going to be sending my boat back to the factory this fall. and I also had rubrail issue with mine. The dealer replaced the insert and I have had no other issue with it. The first rub rail would come out with just the pressure of pulling on it with your finger nail, so every time I took off or set down from plane the water pressure would peel it out.

Please contact your dealership as they are monitoring products from a list. All GatorBak boats are not effected though and they are case by case handling this situation. BCB

I know when I realized it was happening I wasted no time letting my dealer know what was going on.

Please in detail explain what you were seeing..i installed them on my trailer and in 2 months of use, i started seeing some things on my hull that i didnt like..yanked them and put carpeted bunks back on..

Ridges on the Gatorbak surface wearing down and leaving marks on the hull. I can actually see some strands of rubber hanging off the surface of the board. Looks like boat is filing the Gatorbak ridges down.

Are the gatorbak bunks standard or an optional upgrade to carpet on new boats?
