Gauge Warranty Period?

Bought a new-to-me 2018 Margay. The speedometer does not work, but of course that’s no surprise.

Can anyone tell me what’s the warranty period on gauges?

I would look at the pitot tube entrance on the leading edge of the motor lower unit for wood of other form of blockage first.

If you are referring to a little to the little niche on that leading edge — yes, it was stopped up.

Hope the next trip on the water shows good results.

GPS is what you need to use. Cleaning the hole out can be an every trip deal.

I want to install a stereo on the boat. Given that the Margay has so few places for any steroeo components, I thought a round marine tuner would fit nicely where the speedometer sits. However, I thought it prudent to find out if the speedometer was still under warranty (boat is a 2018). If not, then for sure I would pull it out.

I do utilize the GPS speed, anyway.

But, that little crevice was pretty easy to clear. Of course, now I need to wait to get back on the water to see if that did the trick.
