Been doing minor gelcoat repairs and have noticed some yellowing in old gelcoat at rear of boat? Can I just buff this yellowing with aqua buff 2000 to remove? Or, do I need to wet sand then apply aqua buff? This is on an 04 Classic. Thanks in advance.
I used a product called NuHull which can be bought on-line. It took the yellow stain from my hull with no scrubing. Just spray it on, wait 3 minutes, spray it off. It will take off all spots , yellowing, water marks and dirt.
The yellowing from UV rays will likely require some buffing if not sanding. If not bad you can try the product that you suggest. If it doesnt remove it at the pace you would like, try some 1000 or 1200 wet sandpaper. Follow up the sanding with buffing. Then wax after youre complete.
I am also having the same problem with my 94 eyra. At the bow and most of the top cap other then at the very back is getting a yellow tinge or getting a little cloudy. I was also wondering what the best way is to get it back to shiny and clear.
