Again its the time of year when we are around our family and friends, and we remember where we come from, and give thanks for all our blessings. This year is like others, we are glad to be here, and glad to have the family, and especially our friends, both those who are with us, and others who cannot be, but still present in our lives and hearts in spirit, and how they affected our lives. May God bless you all as he has our family, and we hope you are surrounded with the people you love and enjoy this holiday season. Please drive carefully on your journeys to Grandmas house, or wherever you go, and be thoughtful of others trying to get somewhere, too ! Tis not long before Christmas, and Santa is watching ! It has taken me years to learn to enjoy others during the holidays, and the constant invasion of the boys friends at the house and farm. But now im calling them and asking if they thought of a friend who isnt going home for Thanksgiving, and if he would like to come see us ! Wow, im really getting old ! Were really looking forward to this weekend, and hope you all have a great holiday, and yes,,,,,IM COOKING ! WoooooHoooo, Fire up the smoker, grille, AND turkey fryer !!!!! I may need more mouths,,,so if youre nearby ??? Doug.
I know what you mean Doug. I am cooking the bird again this year. This time of year has brought special meaning to me also over the past few years.
Yes Sir. It is one of those times that people need to look at how fortunate they really are. If you are lucky enough to be with your friends and family. If you are lucky enough to live in a free United States. If you are lucky enough to have your good health. If you are lucky enough to be able to enjoy our wonderfull sport of Fishing. If you are lucky enough to be married to a woman that will put up with this wonderfull sport of fishing. YOU SHOULD BE VERY THANKFULL!!! All of these are things we tend to take for granted. I wish you all a truly blessed Thanksgiving day. Chris Coupel Paulina, La.Chris CoupelPaulina, La.
Definitely thankful…I have a great family and relationship with my dad, sure wish I was home with him this week. Having said that I am sure thankful to have some really good friends, many of which are on this board. The best part to be thankful for is the invite that Doug just thru out…what time is dinner? Hard to pass up anything cooked by Doug if you have the invite Just kidding bud, Kathy has to work on Friday, Sat and Sunday or we wouldve went home for Thanksgiving. One of the negatives of being in the retail business. The good thing is after Thurs I am a bachelor for a few days and plan on being on the lake I hope yall enjoy your holidays!Judd Lasiter
We all have so much to be thankful for at my home. I am blessed with three beautiful kids with my oldest being married to a service man and living in Florida. I miss her very much and hope to get to see her at X-mas. My son in law is being deployed to the middle east and for those of you that have kids in the armed forces I feel your sense of pride and your concern for their safety. I want to say right here and now that I am very thankful to you Nick for taking care of my daughter. You are a honorable man and very brave. You will always be a welcome addition to our family. God bless you son and keep you safe and we look forward to your speedy return and a speedy end to this war. Sorry guys…Thanksgiving is a time of reflection for me and I want my kids and everyone else to know how much I care about them and how much I want them with me. God bless each of you and your families. I hope all of you are as lucky as I will be at about 1:00 on Thursday afternoon. Nobody does a bird better than my wife and I cant wait to eat it! Jason
God bless our troops, whether they are in harms way or not. Please bring them home safely!
Too many wonderful blessings to mention but a few include the fact that my Mom and Dad are still healthy, my daughter and I are very close and have a wonderful time, and of course she is just the most special, blessed and gifted daughter in the world. To top it all off, I am in love with the most fantastic woman I could ever dream of and she not only tolerates my fishing, stupid habits, and of course my channel surfing, she honestly treats me like a king and encourages me at every turn. And for icing on the cake, I am the proud owner of a fabulous and beautiful BassCat FTD. Happy Thanksgiving to each and every one of you and to your families.
Too many blessing here also. Mom is in the hospital, but should be home for Thanksgiving. The Lord has been good to me. Thanks to the troops. Thanks to the BCB organization for all you do. You made the SEBCOG guys feel just as special as the Pros.
