Giving up on the SC guage and lowrance GPS Unit for speedometer

Well I have given up, I have followed the wiring diagram John Helms sent me and followed the advice from BCB andeveryone else who has helped, and I still cant get my LCX19 unit and smartcraft speedometer gauge to work register the speed on the speedometer. I really didn;t want to have to drop the lower unit to hook up the hose for the speedometer if it was preventable. If anyone has any other advice or know someone close to Wichita Falls, TX that knows how to connect the to, please let me know. Again I want to thank everyone who has provided input or links to help me out. I am not going to stop trying, so if anyone thinks of something I can try just holler. Allan Lynn Iowa Park, TX

Its sounds like it might be easier to drop the lower unit and reconnect the hose! Even if you connect your GPS to the speedo, youll still use the GPS to get accurate speed since its in tenths. My opinion though. Good luck with whatever you decide.

From our experience some of those have to be reset every trip.

I have tried to reset the unit each time out. The only thing I havent tried is moving the ground directly to the battery. Again, I would like to thank everyone for thier advice, help, or input.
