There has been a lot of hype about demo rides in boats this season and we definitely want everyone to go for one before they select their new boat of choice. Though we have an an unusual suggestion. Pick a lousy day! Pick a day when the winds blowing 10 to 20 MPH and go for a boat ride. See if the bow stays up and the water doesnt chase up the bow. It will on some brands, though it wont on a BCB. Recently we have heard plenty of touting about boats performances as things heat up into spring. Though on a 6″ chop any boat should impress you and we definitely have plenty of performance in a BCB, so speed is comparable or better than some. On a 6″ to 1 foot chop anyone can make one ride or turn if they are skilled. Though we want our hull to shine at what it does best. It rides dry! On those days when you are coming in to the weigh in and you went out early in a overcast day, only to have the wind blow those clouds away and now your coming in on 2 to 3 footers. You want that hull to ride good, and you definitely want it to ride dry.The winds blow when we fish most and a dry ride when the surface temps are nearing 60 degrees is important. Unless you like having to wear your rainsuit. High winds will blow water back at any of the hulls on the market, though does a hull turn the spray out away from the boat. We think ours rides drier than others in big water. And there are other brand(s) that handle a dry ride as well. Some brands do ride drier than others and we think it is important to note this in your test rides. If your selecting a big boat and are considering a Jaguar, then just go let it eat. It takes really big water to challenge a Jaguar. So Pick a Lousy day! See you on the water! BCBLast edited by Bass Cat Boats on March 2nd, 2010, 4:28 am, edited 1 time in total.
